  Es conocido que Ennio Morricone compuso excelente música para películas menores. Abro una entrada donde recojo algunos temas menos conocidos Come Giulietta e Romeo, de la película La cosa buffa (1972) de Aldo Lado, con otro tema reseñable , pero no tan bello. Ricordo rosa (Sulla Torre Eiffel) de la pelicula  Le Ruffian (1983) con Lino Ventura y Claudia Cardinale Federico e la solitudine es un tema de la película Questa specie d'amore (1972) dirigida por Alberto Bevilacqua, para quien también compuso la extraordinaria música de su film La Califfa De La Califfa (1971) destaco Sotto la pioggia, y La Cena , en este caso en la versión que hizo Yo-yo ma en 2004.  Este último, es uno de los pocos casos donde la versión (también orquestada, dirigida y producida por Morricone) es superior al original.   Canción compuesta en 1974 por Bernard Ighner  , y versionada por muchos otros músicos, alcanza en Nina Simone, su mayor expresividad. Nina Simone, gran pianista, era además una extraordinaria vocalista que, en esta ocasión interpreta el mensaje como una protesta, una rebelión y una afirmación.   La Última Rosa del Verano es un poema de Thomas Moore escrito en 1805. El músico alemán Friedrich von Flotow la utiliza en su ópera «Martha» de 1847.  Adagio del Concierto para clave n.º 3 en re mayor, BWV 1054 de JS. Bach compuesto en 1783. Esta pieza está basada en otro concierto, esta vez para violín, en mi mayor, BWV 1042 , también de JS Bach. Propongo la versión que el pianista Cyprien Katsaris realizó para la estupenda banda sonora de la película Allegro. Katsaris es un virtuoso y llena de sentimiento esta obra ya de por sí emocionante.

Me gusta esta versión del niño Cormac Thompson del musical Los Miserables de Claude-Michel Schönberg de 1980. Quizás porque no está dramatizada y se aprecia mejor la belleza de la letra. Fue publicada para ayudar a la campaña de 'Acting For Others', en apoyo al mundo del teatro tras el  COVID en 2021.   Bill Evans realiza en 1966 una extraordinaria variación de la Siciliana, segundo movimiento de la sonata nº 2 BWV 1031 de J.S. Bach  de 1730, titulada Valse. La siciliana es una danza, una forma musical lenta y melancólica, y esta versión, como el original compiten en belleza.

  De entre la abundante obra de Ennio Morricone, empiezo proponiendo este tema de la película  La Dissubidienza de 1981, un film menor, poco relevante, pero como en tantos otros casos, donde Morricone supo poner su mejor creatividad. Me gusta especialmente esa característica suya, que usó en tantas ocasiones, de entrelazar dos temas en un dialogo, como en el conocido tema Deborah- A mapola    de Erase una vez en América, de 1984. Tanto el tema principal como el estupendo "Il colore dei suoi occhi" suelen ponerse en alguno de sus recopilatorios, pero en esta ocasión he preferido "Dietro la tenda" .

  En 1912, el músico Alexander Siloti realizó un arreglo para piano  de la obra de J.S.Bach Preludio BWV 855a . Se trata de una pieza muy bella y muy moderna, como otras de Bach que propondré más adelante. Este Preludio pertenece al primer ciclo del “ Clave bien temperado ” de Johann Sebastian Bach. El primer volumen, que comprende los 24 preludios y fugas del BWV 846 al 869 fue compilado por Bach en 1722. El segundo volumen, comprende del BWV 870 al 893. ​Ambos comparten el mismo esquema: cada libro tiene 24 grupos constituidos por un preludio y una fuga en la misma tonalidad. Por tanto, 48 preludios y 48 fugas cuyo objetivo es musical y didáctico.

  Empiezo por aquí,  sin orden ni concierto , por recoger la música que me gusta y compartirla. "Here's to Life" es una canción compuesta por Artie Butler arreglista de Neil Diamond, y  letra de Phyllis Molinary . En su  web  , Butler cuenta su deseo de dedicársela a su padre. Una canción llena de significado y esperanza. Propongo la versión de Shirley Horn, posiblemente la primera y más emocionante. Otra grabación interesante es la de Barbra Streisand, pero yo prefiero la de Horn.
