  He elegido para esta obra de Maurice Ravel  compuesta para piano solo en 1899, la versión de Eumir Deodato, compositor brasileño, cuya interpretación me parece actualizar una pieza de tanto sentimiento.

  Dentro de sus Vier letzte Lieder, cuatro últimas canciones, TrV 296 de Richard Strauss encontramos esta  Im Abendrot (en el ocaso). Compuesta en 1948 sobre un poema de Joseph von Eichendorff , Im Abendrot  nos habla de la cercanía y la aceptación de la muerte.   La banda sonora de la película Las aventuras de Jeremiah Johnson  de 1972  dirigida por Sydney Pollack es todo un espectáculo sonoro. Compuesta por John Rubinstein y  Tim McIntire, no especialmente famosos por otras obras o su trabajo conjunto, su creación realza aún mas esta obra de arte. Presentan una composición muy contemplativa, con un punto de suspense, ecos de música india, guitarras y violines.
