  Excepcional composición de Georges Delerue para la película Le Mépris de 1963 de Jean-Luc Godard, reconocida por ser  protagonizada por Brigitte Bardot.  Para mi gusto la banda sonora no tiene nada que ver con la película, que es bastante prescindible.  Ttro magnifico tema es su obertura .

  Tema de la película del mismo título de  Claude Sautet de 1970 , compuesta por el entonces joven prodigio Philippe Sarde, que la escribió con 20 años. Música que transmite clasicismo y nostalgia. Incluyo la magnífica versión del tema La chanson d'Hélène, del trompetista Stéphane Belmondo.

  Uno de tantos éxitos de la serie 007, compuesta una vez más por John Barry en 1971 e interpretada por  una de las voces más características y potentes de Shirley Bassey.

   Canción del musical My Fair Lady de 1956 , con música de Frederick Loewe y letra de Alan Jay Lerner .  Entre las miles versiones, me gusta esta de Peggy Lee. Merece la pena conocer la versión original interpretada por Rex Harrison como el profesor Henry Higgins, y por supuesto toda la banda sonora, que sin duda es de las mejores de la historia.

  Septiembre Song  es una canción compuesta por Kurt Weill (también conocido por su composición  Mack the Knife  para su Opera de tres peniques)  con letra de Maxwell Anderson en 1938 para el musical  Knickerbocker Holiday. Bella canción sobre el valor del tiempo y la espera, donde "u no no tiene tiempo para el juego de espera"...pero ...  "estos pocos días preciosos los pasaré contigo". Entre las múltiples versiones, también me gusta esta instrumental del violinista Daniel Hope , por su capacidad de transmitir empción.     La banda sonora original de la película de G. Tornatore, compuesta en 1988 por Ennio Morricone y su hijo Andrea Morricone, quien compuso este tema de amor, es posiblemente una de las mejores y mas reconocidas. De Morricone suelo preferir su versión original, pero esta versión del guitarrista Pat Metheny actualiza el original de manera bellisima. También recomendable el tema principal. También bellísima la versión de Quadro Nuevo, cuarteto acústico alemán.

  Escrita por Stephen Sondheim, con música de Leonard Bernstein, en 1957, para el musical West Side Story, recoge el anhelo mas propio de la persona, de los deseos más humanos, mas sencillos, y tantas veces tan alejados. Un himno dentro del musical. Mil veces versionada, traigo quizas la menos melodica, mas desgarrada de Tom Waits.
